Kai Eckhardt Mentorship Program
Silver
This means
you will experience the rare
benefit of what happens to you when you stick with one little routine
for a
long time. The effects are tremendous
and you will surprise yourself.
Especially those of us who live in a consumer oriented society
are in
the habit of changing things when we get bored.
Few understand that being bored is often a defense against the
profound
effects of transformation in learning.
You will have to face this problem and get through it as
part of your routine is fixed.
2. It requires 30
minutes of you time each day
This seems like a small amount of time, but you will soon hit a wall where you feel like you can’t do it on that day for some reason. As you are only allowed 12 days off, you must be careful because the twelve days came come around really fast. It forces you to put your personal practice in a higher category of priority in your life, which is great because often our lives are controlled by external need instead of our own direction. Keeping it up for 108 days will give you the confidence you need to direct your schedule instead of your schedule directing you.
3. You are allowed to
skip up to 12 days maximum in 108.
Reasons you
may skip a day are up to you.
It could be a vacation, not feeling well, having very urgent things to
do, or
being on tour. But I recommend you put
up some resistance when you feel like taking time off and try to
convince
yourself to do your practice as a matter of priority.
Some of my students always did their routine
first thing in the morning after getting up and never had to skip a day. If you wait until the end of the day to
practice after everything else, you may not make it through the 108
days
because you run past 12 days of no practice, so be careful.
The first two come from me on 2 video clips. The third routine is chosen by you.
You design it yourself according to a subject you like. The
fourth requires you to play 15
minutes non-stop totally free. This
means you can play anything you
want, but are not allowed to stop the flow.
You should learn to express your emotions through your
instrument and
for that you have to stop interrupting, judging or analyzing yourself.
5. Each fixed routine takes five minutes in
addition to 15 minutes freestyle.
That does not sound like a lot of time, but will
make a huge
impact over 108 days.
You may practice more than that, but not less. Having
a fixed routine makes all the
difference as you will notice. Keeping
the amount of time you spend on creativity and fixed structure equal in
proportion helps you keep a good balance and allows you to grow
rapidly.
After you pay the fee for my course, I will send
you the
username and password to get into a document where your name appears at
the top
of the column.
From there on down you will see 108 fields, one for each
day. Start on the first day by entering the date plus one of the
following
characters:
1,2,3,4,5
or N1-N12
1= sad / 2=
boring/ 3= ok/
4 = fun /5 = great/
N = No practice.
N1 (1st
day of no practice, N5 (5th day of no practice) N12 (maximum
day of
no practice) If you miss day 13 game is
over.
After the first day, only enter one character per practice
session and contact me when you have reached day 108.
It is my job as a mentor to help you with guidance. This means you can consult with me about
anything that concerns your practice, your career, your gigs, recording
sessions
and whatever else seems unclear to you. I
can help you understand things that are
technical and I can assist you with solving motivational problems, band
related
problems and even personal stuff as long as it relates to your practice
in some
way. All exchanges between you and I
remain confidential. That is also why
you log in with an alias instead of your real name.
This avoids comparison as you can see
everyone else’s scores in the database.
After the last day when you contact me, please
give me as
much feedback as possible about your study with me, so I can learn and
make my
system better. As a sign of appreciation
you will get a little certificate and some free music from me to round
up the
experience. What happens next is up to
you. If you like the system you can keep
going right away or take a break and come back.
You can also leave it at that and move on.
If you do continue, we use the Karate belt system for
colors (yellow belt, orange belt, green belt, etc..)

bonus 1:
I will send you
exercises for one additional subject of your choice.
This happens in addition to your 30 minute daily routine. Think of all you have learned so far. Now think of something you’d like to learn, but cannot do yet. Tell me what it is, and I will develop an exercise for you. It will come to you via email as video clip, audio clip or document. Here is a list of possible subjects taught from basic to advanced:
Rhythm,
melody or harmony studies, composition, ear

improvisation, song analysis, jazz standards, transcription,
konakkol,
the harmonic overtone series, random approach, band rehearsal

Thank you very much for taking the time to read through the details of my new program.
I hope you will give it a try and see a profound
change for
the better in the relationship between you and your instrument. You might even have a lot of fun at one
point.
By allowing me to be your mentor you are also sustaining my
livelihood and that of my wife
Faithfully Yours,
